Faculty of Psychology & Neuroscience, Maastricht University, the Netherlands Job description The department of Cognitive Neuroscience is creating a tenure-track assistant professor position in MRI sequence development and is looking for a talented researcher with a vision on a research line in MRI sequence developments and an ambition to build a research group. Maastricht University has recently started the Brains Unlimited project which adds a new MR-lab with 3T, 7T and 9.4T human MRI systems by the end of 2012. The position will further extend the MR physics expertise within the Faculty and complement the neuroimaging analysis methods development and applied neuroscience research. The ideal candidate will have extended experience in conceptualizing and implementing MR imaging sequence advances with a preferred focus on echo planar imaging or related acquisitions for fMRI and/or diffusion imaging. Experience with MR sequence development for Siemens MRI systems and with ultra-high field MRI systems is desirable. The position is initially for five years and will become permanent after positive evaluation. Deadline for the application is: 1st of March 2012.
