Postdoctoral Researcher – Magnetic Field Modeling
Yale University, MR Research Center (MRRC), New Haven, CT, USA

The Magnetic Resonance Research Center (MRRC) of Yale University in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology invites applications for a postdoctoral position.

The research projects will involve advanced magnetic field modeling and shimming techniques based on the recently introduced multi-coil (MC) approach for magnetic field modeling (J Magn Reson 204:281, 2010). The research is expected to focus on further methodological improvements, specific experimental implementations and the translational aspects of dynamic MC shimming for MR imaging and MR spectroscopy.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field and a strong research record and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates with hands-on MR laboratory experience are preferred.

CV and inquires should be sent to Robin A. de Graaf, Ph.D. ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ), or Christoph Juchem, Ph.D. ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.

The MRRC (http://mrrc.yale.edu/index.aspx) is an interdisciplinary research laboratory that provides state-of-the-art MR equipment, infrastructure, and expertise for the development and application of MR imaging and MR spectroscopy methodology in biomedical research. As such, there will be opportunities to closely interact with other researchers and to develop additional lines of research.

Yale University is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer. Yale values diversity in its faculty, staff, and students and strongly encourages applications from women and members of underrepresented minority groups.
