It is our pleasure to invite you to the Fourth Annual Meeting of the ISMRM Benelux Chapter. The Meeting will be held on Monday the 16th of January 2012, at the Leuven Institute for Ireland in Europe.

After two Meetings in the Netherlands, it is time to move back to the country where the Meetings started. The charming city of Leuven is perhaps best known harbouring Belgium’s oldest University, and as a consequence roughly 50% of its population consists of students, who can enjoy not only the luxury of studying at a internationally renowned university, but also the famous Belgium beer…
The Leuven Institute of Ireland in Europe will be the venue for the 2012 ISMRM Benelux Chapter Meeting. Founded in 1607, its main goal was to create a center of learning for Catholic people from Ireland, and give access to the University, which was then considered one of the most important learning seats in Europe. In 1983, the Leuven Institute was founded as a resource for both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Apart from providing an attractive venue with its many windows and bright atmosphere, it also has a rich cultural history, with presently many exhibitions and musical performances.
The inspiring venue and charming city of Leuven should otherwise not distract us from the attractive scientific program we present for researchers, clinicians and companies. Young investigators are challenged to send in abstracts which will be reviewed and might result in oral or poster presentations. During lunch and coffee breaks, one has the opportunity to network and socialize with other colleagues in the field of ‘MR in medicine’, with the option of continuing over drinks and dinner in the evening. Please note that capacity for attending the meeting and dinner is limited, so we encourage you to register in time.
